Nestled along the May River, in the Lowcountry of South Carolina between Hilton Head Island and Savannah, Palmetto Bluff is where Southern hospitality and dreamy decadence converge for the ultimate in Lowcountry luxury.

5We partnered with Palmetto bluff to create an immersive digital destination that facilitated stays at the montage hotel, brought people down to the island to experience activities, such as fishing, dining and the arts and ultimately purchase a home. Palmetto bluff at its core is a large residential real-estate community that is focuses on living in and around coastal South Carolina. They came to us with clear KPIs. Get people to come stay at the montage hotel, sign up for experience packages and ultimately fall in love with the area.
We took this task to heart and broke the design phase into 5 sprints. Each sprint focused on one vertical of business. One being a reimagined real-estate listing and detail section. The second being an immersive description of all the experiences you are able to-do while at Palmetto Bluff. The Third was the Montage hotel and booking a trip. The forth was focused on their content creation which included a blog, podcast and YouTube video series. The final sprint was creating a finalized design system that could use across not only digital products but their quarterly magazine “the Bluff” and all other marketing materials.
Palmetto bluff does so much advertising and social post we knew the website had to be mobile first with a focus on high level conversion on each page of the marketing journey. We painstakingly designed and user tested each page on mobile devices to make sure users of the site had clear paths to conversion and stayed engaged with the content as they flowed through the pages.
The final result was successful digital product that excels at telling the story of Palmetto Bluff while making it easy for users to sign up, search real-estate and book a stay in the area.
